DIY: Chevron Circular Wall Plaque

So I had all these wooden circles that I grabbed at a yard sale forever and a day ago and I thought I could finally do something crafty & cool with them. Since chevron is all the rage these days, I figured I’d create some nifty wall art. To start it off, (as Merlin played loudly in the background… I LOVE that show) I painted the wood with a couple of layers of white paint then hand painted the chevron design with Craft Smart acrylic paint in citron. It’s not as perfect as using paint tape to tape off the lines, but to be honest, I’m super lazy and I just didn’t feel like it! Then I popped my handy dandy “b” out of ColorBok’s Monogram Punch-Out Set and painted it with Craft Smart in Aqua, that way the cardboard edges wouldn’t stand out. I used a page of scrapbook paper out of DCWV’s Stack 8 paper pack and glued the chipboard letter face down so that I could cut it out with my craft knife.

Here’s where YOU come in…. which version do you like better? ….. vs. 1 with the doily -OR- vs. 2 with the flower??
